In 2007 Jay released his debut album ‘Losing Home’, followed in 2008 by ‘3 Days, 7 Lovers and the Philistine’.

Since ‘Losing Home’ he found a new one in London. Here, more than 17,000 kilometres from childhood, he recorded his third studio album. Called ‘Buildings of Dreams’, the album captures in song Fraser’s escape from what he describes as the “quicksand years”. It charts his route from Tasmania to London, the backwater towns and dead-end jobs he took to get there.

Following the full length release ‘Buildings of Dreams’ was the raw  ’Sketches of a Renegade’ EP in November 2011. The 4 tracks capture Fraser’s solo performance live off the floor at Wavelength Studios in Doncaster (UK) and were intuitively engineered by renowned folk/roots producer Keith Angel (Kate Rusby, Martin Simpson, John Boden, In Fear Of Olive). “the songs are dark and gritty, and I love that about them” .

Both Buildings of Dreams and Sketches of a Renegade received good support from Triple J Unearthed, with multiple tracks receiving airplay on the national digital station as well as the mother station Triple J. Both albums went on to receive wide reaching airplay on community radio stations around Australia thanks to them being picked up by the AMRAP program.

2012 has been a year of collaborations including numerous onstage performances with Australian classical flautist, Lina Andonovska and others. Even branching into co-writing with friend Robin Joel Sangster, this partcular collaboration sparking the fire for their new band, AFFA David, who released their debut EP ‘I WILL NOT DRINK WHERE YOU BLED‘ in late October 2012.

Lescinés is one of the most recent collaboration projects teaming up with good friend and music collaborator Gennaro Serra (of AFFA David) on drum kit/percussion (and whatever else he turns his musical hand to). The 2 form the foundation for a collective that engages musical collaborations.
